Monmouth had a lovely sunny forest school afternoon (for once!). We looked at Habitats and animal homes, we explored animal habitats in our school grounds - listened to the birds and looked for tracks. The children found lots of insects - centipedes, millipedes, stag beetles, bees worms and many more! We then went on to make our own Habitats for animals we might encounter - we had bug hotels, homes for bees and birds nests! We learned a few names for animal homes that can be found here in the UK - Badgers = setts, Fox = Den, Rabbit = warren, Otter = holt and how to find these animal homes.
We had a few new faces in our after school club yesterday and we had a lovely time building dens in the sun shine! Annika
